About Us
Calypso Charters is a family run business, based in Poole. We charter for private parties, anniversaries, birthdays, engagements, pampering days and corporate events.
The first thing to say is that we love boats! We love the water, water sports and getting out to sea at any opportunity. We love the marina environment and all the friends we make. With that in mind, we knew our dream business would be in the industry. And as we have also been involved over the years in serving in the hospitality and caring sectors, the ultimate job for us is to combine boating with serving guests.
History
Our first boat was a blow up dingy, followed by a succession of 20 foot power boats. Then we moved up a gear to a 40ft open cruiser. Finally we bought our current dream boat- the Trader 475 motor yacht that we run as a holiday stay aboard and charter business.
Because we love to have a good time, we are passionate about serving others to offer them a good time. We know from experience that you can do hospitality well (or badly!), and so we really enjoy finding ways to facilitate an excellent experience for our guests. We absolutely thrive on the buzz we get when guests go away having been served well, treated like they are highly valued, and pampered with the little touches that speak volumes.
So that’s our aim for every guest we are privileged to serve – we want to create an environment that makes you feel like you’re the one we are concentrating on – to give you the very best. Simply put, we want you to experience with us what we would want to experience – the best quality for a decent price.
Our boat is available for hire in hourly, half day and full day slots. Calypso has vast deck areas, two bathrooms, four cabins and a fully equipped kitchen, so if your’e staying aboard for a few days or enjoying a special day out, this comfortable vessel will look after you in comfort and style.
